RME (rapeseed methyl esters) biodiesel can be used standalone or blended with petroleum-based diesel.

In Denmark, it’s mixed into a large part of the diesel oil sold at filling stations. In Sweden, it’s used unmixed. Our biodiesel is compatible with most existing diesel engines.

We won’t reach CO2 goals without it

Heavy vehicles contribute around 6 percent of the EU’s yearly CO2 emissions.

If we are to reach Denmark’s ambitious goal of a 70 percent reduction in 2030 and a 100 percent reduction in 2050, we need biofuel beyond 2030, and in the growing transport sector still in 2050.

The real-life implementation of new technologies (hydrogen and electricity) continues to be lacking. Both in heavy vehicles and in cars. In sectors like aviation and the shipping industry, it’s even harder to find fuel alternatives.

So, until we do, why not use what’s already right in front of us?

Compared to renewable diesel (HVO), RME biodiesel is approximately 15-35% less expensive, while advanced technologies such as PtL1 are currently 3-4 times more costly.

In addition, an electric truck costs 1.6 million more than a traditional truck – that’s three times as much. Therefore, biofuel is the vastly cheaper way to reduce CO2.

With a CO2 reduction of over 70%, our local green fuel is highly effective at lowering greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional diesel. This enables Denmark and many other nations to achieve compliance with EU green energy directives.

Biodiesel is also eco-friendly because it’s biodegradable. It breaks down naturally without causing long-term harm to the environment, lowering the risk of environmental damage in case of spills or leaks.

Critically important as well, we minimize waste by commercializing all secondary products.
